The renovated John L. Hoich Center for Recovery, which houses the HERO Recovery Program, enhancing residential treatment capacity while enhancing outpatient services and creating welcoming, trauma-informed spaces that support healing, stability and long-term recovery.

A Community Celebration

Community partners, donors, supporters and friends gathered to celebrate the reopening of the HERO Recovery Center and the next chapter of recovery services at Stephen Center.

Guests toured the renovated facility, heard from Stephen Center leadership and joined in recognizing the many individuals and organizations whose generosity made the transformation possible.

A Safe Place to Start. Support to Take the Next Step.

Recovery begins with more than treatment. It begins with a safe, supportive environment where individuals are treated with dignity and have access to the care they need to move forward.

Stephen Center’s HERO Program provides residential and outpatient substance use treatment in a structured, trauma-informed setting, helping individuals build the foundation for lasting recovery.

The newly renovated HERO Recovery Center expands Stephen Center’s ability to provide that support to more people throughout our community.

Every detail of the renovated center was designed with recovery in mind. Calming colors, comfortable furnishings, welcoming common areas and private spaces for personal conversations create an environment that helps people feel safe, respected and supported from the moment they arrive.

What’s New at the HERO Recovery Center?

The renovated facility is designed to foster comfort, connection, privacy and the confidence to take the next step while enhancing both capacity and services, creating more opportunities for individuals seeking recovery.
