Get the Facts

On February 22, 2025, our Omaha nonprofit Stephen Center was honored to be personally recognized in Warren Buffett’s annual shareholder letter. In his letter, it was announced that this year, Berkshire will offer a new history book, 60 Years of Berkshire Hathaway, at the meeting in May. This new 60th Anniversary Issue would honor and highlight material on the late Charlie Munger, including photos, stories, quotes, and more. Warren suggested that he and Carrie Sova, Berkshire Alum and lead on the book project, co-sign 20 copies of the book to raise proceeds for a local worthy cause. Carrie’s family, beginning with Bill Kizer, Sr., a long-time friend of Warren’s and Carrie’s grandfather, have been assisting our institution for decades. From this came an extraordinary opportunity. There will be 20 individually numbered co-signed copies of the book available for donors who contribute at least $5,000 to the benefit of Stephen Center.

But he didn’t stop there!

Mr. Buffett has pledged to match every donation for the signed copies dollar-for-dollar, doubling the impact of each contribution.
